In India, VW supplied the Beetle with a 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol engine from the VW EA211 series. It was the same engine that was used in the Skoda Octavia and the Volkswagen Jetta. 
 The Beetle was a 4 seater 4 cylinder car and had a length of 4278mm, width of 1808mm and a wheelbase of 2524mm. All in all this was not a huge car, but the perfect size to be driven in or around the city.
