Concept of the month - Citroen 19_19 Citroen's goal of ultra-comfort and expanded mobility to get away from cities is embodied in the 19_19 Concept. The 19_19 Concept's body design is inspired by the fuselage of an aeroplane and the clear bubble of a helicopter. The capsule floats above four "Super Tall and Narrow" wheels, promising the luxury of a magic carpet trip, with passengers being carried along by a car that looks to soar over the road. We would love nothing more than to see this beautiful machine on the road. The 19_19 Concept impresses with its long, 3.10 metre wheelbase, which allows for a bigger battery and a powerful and commanding road posture with the four wheels planted squarely on the far corners of the body. The interior is suspended on a novel suspension system with Progressive Hydraulic Cushions and sophisticated active management, and it has a one-of-a-kind layout inspired by the world of furniture, with individually tailored seats.
The 19_19 Concept also employs autonomous driving technologies, allowing drivers to completely delegate driving duties. The concept automobile is equipped with a personal assistant embedded into the dashboard that takes over management of the vehicle during autonomous driving phases and communicates with passengers through a predictive and proactive system that anticipates each occupant's demands. The 19_19 Concept provides each passenger with their own personal room to unwind. The driver's seat features straightforward controls, an ultra-comfortable seat, and a speaker in the headrest, as well as a head-up display that provides crucial driving information through the windscreen.
