The A8 is known for its generous passenger capacity, and its long wheelbase ensures that rear-seat passengers are comfortably accommodated. A four-passenger seating package is available, which eliminates the rear centre seat and adds two power-adjustable back seats with heating, ventilation, and massage, as well as a heated foot-massage function and two individual entertainment tablets. There are plenty of high-quality materials available, including stretched leather and a small forest's worth of wood inlays. The interior, like the exterior of the A8, is restrained. With only 13 cubic feet of trunk space, it's a little luxury sedan.
The 12.3-inch Virtual Cockpit instrument cluster, as well as the 10.1-inch higher and 8.6-inch lower haptic centre screens with the MMI Touch Response technology, are both standard. The Audi's engine is smooth, but its power delivery isn't particularly impressive, and sound-deadening measures are so extensive that it's virtually inaudible with the windows up. The A8 combines agility and riding comfort in a way that is distinctively Audi. Standard features include an adjustable air suspension and driver-adjustable adaptive dampers.
