This song was that song that every half-emos teenager listened
to non-stop by the age of 14, a song included on the American
Idiot album that many consider Green Day's finest creation. It's
the follow-up to Holiday, another song on the album. ‘Boulevard
of Broken Dreams’ is an emo power ballad, full of mixed
metaphors expressing the privileged blah of being bored and
misunderstood in the suburbs of a morally compromised
nation. "Boulevard of Broken Dreams" was named "Record of
the Year" at the Grammy Awards of 2006.

The punk rock band from the united states, Green day has been
one of the most influential groups in the last two decades due to
the fusion they make of rhythms in songs like "Jesus of
Suburbia". It's been over three decades since Green Day released their
debut album 39/Smooth and began a journey that would
change the face of punk forever.
