'Hey Jude'
From: 'Hey Jude' (1968) The lyrics of Hey Jude are quite moving and you’ll get a hang of
it as you keep listening to it. At first, though, it was called "Hey
Jules" as it was a theme for Julian. This seven-minute-long
song is one of the most successful of the band, which has
managed to sell more than 8 million copies throughout history.
This pop-rock song was also honored with the Grammy Hall of
Fame award.
There is no one who does not know the famous Liverpool
quartet. Their achievements and even the philosophy of life
conveyed by this English group made them one of the best in
rock history. The Beatles formed in the 1960s and consisted of
Paul McCartney, John Lennon, Ringo Starr, and George
Harrison. The Beatles are the best-selling recording artists on
the planet. They have 183 million album sales certified in the
U.S. alone. The band's top hits started with “I Want to Hold Your Hand” in
1964 and ended with ‘The Long and Winding Road’ in 1970. It
was most difficult to choose one by the Beatles, however, we
chose 'Hey Jude'. Originally written by Paul McCartney to
console John Lennon’s son Julian over his parents' impending
divorce, ‘Hey Jude’ is a huge-hearted, super-emotional epic
that climaxes with one of pop's most legendary hooks.
